Quentin Tarantino zal wellicht alsnogThe Hateful Eight gaan maken.
Tarantino schrapte het project onlangs nadat het scenario van de film was
uitgelekt. Mogelijk is hij van gedachten
veranderd. Een bron vanTheWrapheeft op Twitter enkele berichten geplaatst die daar melding van maken:
'RUMOR: THE HATEFUL EIGHT is back on, as sources tell ME that Quentin has reached out to Sam Jackson in the wk since he called off the movie.'
'A representative for Samuel L. Jackson did not respond to MULTIPLE requests for comment over the last 4 days. Same goes for QT's reps at WME'
'I am not allowed to officially report this, so I have decided to share it as a rumor w/ my loyal fans on Twitter. Stay tuned!'
'Personally, I think QT regrets his odd decision to throw a public tantrum on DHD & doesn't want to shelve the project just b/c script leaked'

Hoewel benadrukt wordt dat niets zeker is en het slechts om geruchten gaat, is het zeker niet uitgesloten dat Tarantino alsnog van zijn beslissing om de stekker uit zijn tweede western te trekken terugkomt. Eerder gaf hij aan het script vanThe Hateful Eightin boekvorm om te zetten en zich wat films betreft aan een nieuw project te wagen. Ook dit is vooralsnog niet bevestigd. Echter, het is duidelijk dat TarantinoThe Hateful Eight, in wat voor vorm dan ook, niet definitief wil laten rusten.
