Fast and Furious ster Paul Walker is bij een auto ongeluk om het leven gekomen.
De acteur, die bijrijder was in een auto, was onderweg naar een benefiet voorstelling voor de Filipijnen. Onderweg verloor zijn vriend de controle over het stuur waardoor de auto tegen een paal botste. Beide inzittenden zijn omgekomen.
Op zijn Facebook pagina is het volgende te lezen:
It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide . He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. – #TeamPW
Walker is 40 jaar oud geworden en is voornamelijk bekend van de succesvolle filmreeks Fast and Furious waarin hij samen met Vin Diesel de hoofdrollen vertolkte. Walker was bezig met de opnames van Fast and Furious 7 . Daarnaast speelde de acteur in talloze films waaronder: Running Scared , Into The Blue , Pleasantville en Joy Ride .
